What Are the “I Am” Statements of Jesus?

Jesus made these seven resounding statements throughout the Gospel of John:

1. “I am the bread of life. He sustains us

2. “I am the light of the world. He leads, guides, and brings light to the darkness

3. “I am the door of the sheep. He protects, knows us, and He is present with us

4. “I am the good shepherd. He is watching out, caring, speaking to us, and loving us

5. “I am the resurrection and the life. He gives new life and removes fear of death. We live forever in His name

6. “I am the true vine. He is our source, refines, prunes our lives to allow to us to bear His fruit

7. “ I am the way, the truth, and the life. He is our access to forgiveness from a holy God

He holistically sustains our body, mind, and spirit. His truths sets us free from death to life. We don’t deserve I AM but He loves us so much! What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31 We are more than conquers because we belong to I AM!
